Kindred started with a pretty simple idea: we wanted a tea shop we’d want to spend time in.

We love tea in all its forms from matcha and hojicha to jasmine, Thai tea, and whatever we happen to be drinking next. Our tastes have been shaped by the places we come from, the places we’ve lived, and the cups of tea we’ve had along the way.

Kindred brings those influences together without trying to fit them neatly into one tradition. We care about good ingredients and making things well, but we also think tea can be casual, creative, and part of everyday life.

Some drinks might feel familiar. Others might borrow a flavor or combination we discovered somewhere along the way.
